Time Magazine’s “Putting The Green Into Clean” Article

Here is a great article of the business I am apart of. Some great steps forward from our business leader, Roger Barnett and a history of where the company got it’s roots. It was featured in November 2007. Read it here. Uses for our Heavy Duty 100% Biodegradable Scouring Cleanser

I thought I would highlight some products and uses and have an opportunity for comments on uses you have tried or what you might like about them. These may not be official uses from the company, so do not hold the company responsible for any comments of uses. That’s what is so great about our cleaners, you can safely try them on things (using your bare hands without gloves) and see if they work.

Description: Scouring paste is an excellent mildly abrasive scouring cleanser for all bright & hard metal surfaces, ceramic tile, porcelain, arborite, corian. Use with a soft cloth or sponge and plenty of water. (Note: Test on soft metals such as gold, brass, silver or polished aluminum & wood before use – it may scratch).

Uses: All stainless steel surfaces, pots & pans, chrome surfaces, restroom faucets, shower doors, ceramic, porcelain & enamel surfaces; Scuff marks on floors; Pen & pencil marks on walls, lockers, desks; Ovens, barbecue grills, stove tops, pyrex glass. Others have had success for really dirty, greasy hands giving extra scrubbing power…(usually H2 will do the the job.) Also good for coffee and tea stains in cups.

I used this on our new stove! I thought that I saw a few scratches from the installers putting on the cast iron grates. I took a little bit of the paste and the marks and they disappeared! I also love it for the sink, soup scum and especially getting easter egg dye of the counters!

Application: Small amount of paste with liberal amount of water on soft cloth or sponge.

Trusting in God..Thanking him for his goodness.

On Monday afternoon, I experienced some cramping. After dinner that night, I stood up from the table and had unexpected bleeding. This lasted into the evening night. I was very thankful to have this stop in the morning. We waited till the morning, per the doctor’s advice, and went in for an appointment.

I have been blessed to have 4 pregnancies that were uneventful, at least for the 9 months. Delivery is another story. I did some reasearch and found out that bleeding affects 20-30% of all pregnancies. Up to 50% of those who bleed may go on to have a miscarriage.

The ultrasound showed good news. The cervix is closed, there is plenty of fluid around the baby, and it’s heart was beating 175 bpm. One concern that might be is possible bleeding between the placenta and the uterus. Time will tell. Here is a link that helps explain what might be going on.

How blessed we were to have our pastor come to pray with us before the ultrasound and encourage us with the Word. He also shared with us a scripture that focused our trust in God.
Isaiah 50:10 Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant?
Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

We are walking in darkness during this time because we don’t know the outcome of this life…but our trust is in the Lord, whatever He wills.

I will be resting and listening more closely to my body. There is no mandated “bed rest” but I do need to take it easy.

Thank you to all who are praying. We have been so blessed knowing you are lifting us up to the One who is knitting this little one together.

I have had some back pain today and a bad headache last night. I will try to keep you all posted. Thanks again for your prayers.

Little Hands and Feet

We got to see our newest family member on the ultrasound machine yesterday. It was amazing!  The baby is measuring 11 weeks. You could see little hands and feet really moving, waving, and being alive!  The heart was beating 171 beats per minute! Our almost 3 year old was so precious and he waved to the monitor!

When I came home I was interested to look up to see when typical abortions happen. I was shocked to find out that people could have an abortion up to 24 weeks!

I am receiving weekly emails to see the size, stages of growth, and helpful tips for moms and dads. I am going over the information with the kids for homeschooling. This will be great for them to follow along until the baby is born. You can check out www.3Dpregnancy.com to see all the week stages. It is amazing to see it in 3D!  Here is a picture of our baby’s size now. It is actually about 10 grams and 2 inches long! What a nice Mother’s Day gift to see the baby. My daughter said when we were leaving the appointment, “Mom what do you want for your birthday? A baby would be a great present!” She is right. Our little one will arrive just before my birthday.

Help for Autism

I have a friend who has 2 autistic children and she has served her family and has a heart to serve other families who need support and direction on how to get help with autism.  She has taken part in our area information days to inform others on how to get help for their families. Our local news have a nice selection of links to help those of you who need some more information. Here is the link. http://wetm.com/serve.php

For those of you who would like to know more about my friend’s blog and book. Here is her web link.

I will pass on a few Nutritional Snacks that she has used for her kids.

Happy Earth Day!

Hope you all are finding ways this week to help our Earth. I have been waiting for my “green” bags to arrive which are on backorder. I look forward in using them and not collecting the plastic bags anymore. I actually have an entire tall kitchen bag filled with the plastic bags to take and recycle sitting in the car ready to go on my next trip to the store.

I also wanted to make you all aware of a wonderful opportunity that you can be apart of to make a difference. It is called Project MAHMA. Project MAHMA is a coalition of families across North America who stay home with their kids and earn income by helping others live healthier, better and more independent lives. I am excited to tell you that I have been doing this for over one year now. It is very rewarding, beneficial to our family and helping others and the planet at the same time. Check out the website here.

Welcome Home Blessing

I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to ALL of our church family who surprised us as we got home this Saturday from a few days visiting with family. Let me fill you all in on how we were blessed.

Our home is circa 1890 and was a Multi-Family unit that we converted back to a single family when we purchased it in 2005. As you can imagine with our daily schedule of homeschooling, working from home, cleaning, laundry, and kids playing, we hadn’t gotten around to do much “remodeling”.

Well, we were so blessed and surprise on Saturday when we pulled into the driveway with Jon’s brother’s family. Jamie was going to be preaching at our church like a pulpit exchange with our pastor who was staying in Jamie’s house and giving the message to their church family. I was surprised to see a beautiful pot of pansies on the porch, a new wreath and an nice new Welcome Home flag. I have kept my eyes open for one just like this but hadn’t been able to find one. It looks just like our house with the yellow trim and everything! Wow! I was already in tears!

We walked in and it looked vacuumed more than I had left it. I even thought it might have been shampooed because it smelled different. I walked into the Dining Room and found a note on the table with a Penguin toy saying “While you were gone, we were busy. Signed, the Penguin” I thought that our friends who fed the fish must have straightened up a bit because they knew we were having family in. Well, the next thing I heard was my oldest saying, “The stairs are finished! And it is painted.” I went to the bottom of the stairs and couldn’t believe it! All the holes and wallpaper was repaired and there was a fresh coat of paint finishing the stairs! We were welcomed with a sign that said our church family loved us! We were blown away! It was such an amazing welcome home, we will not forget. THANK YOU CHURCH!!!!! It was such a real practical way that showed us how much our Savior loves and cares for us.

That was not all that happened this week. Wednesday, the day before we left I was blessed by a family in church that surprised me and watched the kids, took them to the park for a picnic lunch and allowed me to go out on my own for a few hours to buy a maternity outfit! That’s right! We are expecting #5! The Lord is faithful and will provide for all that he has MADE (or is making)! I praise God for his care and provision. I was in a place that He knew I needed to see (In A BIG WAY) how much he cares for our family. I thank all of those involved. You know we want to figure out who actually were involved in all of this to personally say thank you, but know we know that it was the Holy Spirit that prompted your hearts to serve us!! Thanks again.

P.S. I will go to the Doctor’s this week and we will see when our little one is expected to grace the world. I am guessing it will be near my birthday in December. That would be a great present!

Cherry Blossoms

I just got back from a business overnight trip to Washington D.C. I have always wanted to go to see the cherry blossoms this time of year. It was a full 2 days of learning and meetings. Great information shared, renewed vision and passion for “why” I am apart of my company. I will share with you all that it is to Help People. Help people with health and wealth whether that is actually physical needs but also spiritual needs as well. Our bodies are the temple of the Lord. Shouldn’t we be taking care of it and nurturing it as much as our souls? Both our bodies and souls need to have health and true wealth found in scripture. I am so grateful for the Word to guide me having a biblical focus on business and knowing how conduct business. What is o great is our company’s founder lived by the golden rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do undo you.” I am so glad I have found a company that is committed to wellness with natural products that help our bodies, families, and our planet.

Enjoy a few pictures of D.C.

More Writing

As I mentioned on previous posts, our kids like to draw. We were blessed with a drawing from Jake but not on paper. He chose to take the crayon to our white drawing table again. It wasn’t scribbles this time and he was really proud of his work bringing me the camera to get his picture taken with his “person”. I preserved the drawing with the picture but used my awesome non-toxic paste to make the table white again.

Mariposa Party

Yesterday my Mariposa and I joined a few girls for a fun “Mariposa Party” to watch the new Mariposa Barbie movie, eat butterfly sandwiches, and decorate butterfly cookies. Here are a few pictures.
